HP Envy 14 Spectre Review
General Information
Spectre is considered as a first consumer-oriented ultra book by HP. Although HP Folio 13 was launched as a first ultra book but it was not meant to target large business. Difference between these two ultra books is not much wider. The Envy 14 Spectre is all about shining and glare, most significantly by means of its glassy lid and palm rest. Without having any astonishing laptops, the spectre can be most elegant of collection. As far as its look is concerned, we have found it nicer and stylish device. This laptop is truly economical and power backed at CES 2012.Graphics
As far as working out with the lid, the Spectre is an ultra book contrary to a high-class Envy that is fully equipped with graphics. Certainly, the HP Envy Spectre’s 14-inch display should be praised as much as the Beats Audio. Its 1600 x 900 pixel resolution is one step ahead of other ultra books like Lenoyo IdeaPad U300S plus, we have done with extraordinarily high quality marvelous graphics. HP will provide it a powerful battery backup that is expecting up to 6-8 hours. In addition to that, HP Envy 14 Spectre also bears a minor bezel, enabling the 14 inch display to fit finely inside a 13.3 inch chassis. The in-built GPU is ample strong owing to the Sandy Bridge heritage; however, it won’t be proclaiming the latest Assassin’s ideology label. In regards to music, this ultra book is by far launched for media fanatics. Glorious crispy screen and outstanding audio technology on board provide an option to pinch and adjust the sound in your favorite way.
Performance
Some features like Adobe Photoshop and Premiere elements are already installed in HP make it more extra ordinary. A control panel is available for tweaking ad adjusting sound and album settings in HP Envy 14 Spectre. Some bonus advantages like cancellation of noise and extra echo are also available in HP Envy 14 Spectre. It does not carry high speed and fastest chip which we have found in other Ultra Books. Unluckily, some problems with track pad were found although, but usage of ordinary course of business is un-impacted. Track pad was reactive nicely while moving the cursor on it, but the built-in mouse button was little painful for users. Unlike other 13-inch ultra books or laptops such as MacBook Air, the Envy Spectre is not light-weight. Sound beat is also coupled with an inset analog wheel to adjust volume control similar to that of HP Envy 15.
